Q: What is the definition of being “up-to-date” on the COVID-19 vaccine?

A: Please be aware there may be different definitions depending on the use. NHSN recently updated its definition for the next reporting period, Quarter three 2022, for the date range of June 27, 2022- September 2, 2022. Also, be sure you review state-specific guidance.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention defines up-to-date as when you have received all doses in the primary series and all boosters recommended for when you are eligible. Go here to review more about staying up-to-date with your vaccines per the CDC.
