This series is being offered to educate, support, and encourage nursing homes and adult care facilities to care for people with substance use disorders (SUDs), to treat co-occurring SUDs, and to treat medical disorders affecting people with SUDs.
The series will provide an educational framework for the multi-workgroup toolkit, the Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Access Policy and Procedure Toolkit for Nursing Homes and Adult Care Facilities, developed for facilities with modifiable templates of policies and procedures for working with people with SUDs.
This integrated educational series ultimately will assist staff in being prepared to deliver quality care to residents with substance use disorders. NAB accreditation available for administrators. ACPE accreditation available for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
