CDC Celebrates Women’s History Month

Women’s Role in Health Literacy

March is Women’s History Month, a perfect time to highlight Dr. Ruth Parker. Not only is she nationally recognized for her health literacy research, teaching, and advocacy, but she’s a professor of medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine and a professor of epidemiology at the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health.

Listen to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention podcast in which Helen Osborne, host of Health Literacy Out Loud, interviews Dr. Parker about health literacy milestones and opportunities.

Celebrate the fearless female leaders and trailblazers you admire. Happy Women’s History Month!
