To limit the spread of COVID-19, it is important to promptly identify, separate, and ensure ill patients are wearing a cloth face covering (source control).
Recent studies indicate that people who are infected but do not have symptoms likely also play a role in the spread of COVID-19.
For this reason, source control measures should be implemented for everyone in the facility, regardless of symptoms. It is also important to maintain a safe distance (at least 6 feet) between both patients and staff, as much as possible.
