Do you need an easy way to track hand hygiene in your nursing home facility? IPRO has launched an Electronic Hand Hygiene Data Collection Project with Online Benchmarking Data. Participating in this free program provides enrolled nursing homes with the tools to collect and compare data on staff hand hygiene compliance. This is how it works:
- Nursing homes conduct bedside observation audits to collect data on hand hygiene and enter it into the electronic data tool provided by IPRO.
- IPRO creates dashboards that allow the nursing home to visualize and compare their results with peer facilities in their state or region or to track their results over time to measure improvement.
- The data can be filtered by shift, timeframe (weekly, monthly, quarterly), type of healthcare worker, and unit.
Unlike paper data collection and spreadsheet analysis, this project allows participants to collect data on mobile devices, tablets, or laptops. Data can be used to educate and train staff, create reports, PowerPoint presentations, images, or Excel files for QAPI meetings. The Northeast and Mid-Atlantic CMS QIN QIO team provides free training to support your facility during onboarding and throughout participation.
