SUMMARY:IPRO HQIC Sepsis Affinity Group: Mid-to-large sized Hospitals
DESCRIPTION:  \nSepsis remains a national priority and is a complex and challenging condition to manage. Despite substantial attention to improvement\, an opportunity still exists to decrease sepsis-related morbidity and mortality. More than 1.7 million adults in the U.S develop sepsis every year\, leading to over 270\,000 deaths (CDC\, 2020). \nHospitals are committed to improving care\, outcomes\, and costs; however\, many have expressed they wrestle with where and how to start their quality improvement efforts. \nIPRO is launching a 6-month Sepsis Affinity Group to help support and provide a networking forum specifically for mid-to-large sized hospitals as they work to reduce sepsis-related harm. With the shared goal of accelerating learning and improvement\, participants will have access to content experts and a platform to share experiences\, evidence-based practices\, and tools\, as well as explore successes\, challenges and lessons learned to drive progress on sepsis-related harm.
