DESCRIPTION:More than 1 million Medicare beneficiaries had a diagnosis of opioid use disorder (OUD) in 2020.\nHowever\, fewer than one in five received medication to treat this condition. In addition\, the number of patients who stay in treatment after hospital discharge decrease drastically. \nThis webinar series is a collaboration between all Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organizations and will provide strategies\, interventions\, and targeted solutions to ensure access to MOUD treatment and facilitate continuity of care through the continuum. \nSession 5: Management of Patients on MOUD During the Nursing Home Stay Part 1 \nIn this session\, we will discuss admissions assessment & treatment\, addressing stigma\, and naloxone training.

SUMMARY:IPRO Short Sessions: Collaborating for Equity: Establishing an Organizational Commitment to Health Equity
DESCRIPTION:Join IPRO for a six-session health equity series focused on topics that align with Priority 3 of the CMS Framework for Health Equity\, Build Capacity of Health Care Organizations and the Workforce to Reduce Health and Health Care Disparities. Within Priority 3\, CMS states that “Each interaction with a member of a health care team\, whether clinical\, behavioral\, social\, or administrative\, is another opportunity to make someone’s health care\, and health status\, better. \nHowever\, health care professionals across settings must be equipped with resources and knowledge of what works to reduce disparities.” \nIn each 30-minute session\, IPRO will discuss priority equity topics and promising practices to assist health care organizations identify and address health disparities. IPRO will weave in recent updates to CMS’ prospective payment system rules and health equity measures that serve to advance health equity across Medicare programs.
