DESCRIPTION:  \nSepsis remains a national priority and is a complex and challenging condition to manage. Despite substantial attention to improvement\, an opportunity still exists to decrease sepsis-related morbidity and mortality. More than 1.7 million adults in the U.S develop sepsis every year\, leading to over 270\,000 deaths (CDC\, 2020). \nHospitals are committed to improving care\, outcomes\, and costs; however\, many have expressed they wrestle with where and how to start their quality improvement efforts. \nIPRO is launching a 6-month Sepsis Affinity Group to help support and provide a networking forum specifically for mid-to-large sized hospitals as they work to reduce sepsis-related harm. With the shared goal of accelerating learning and improvement\, participants will have access to content experts and a platform to share experiences\, evidence-based practices\, and tools\, as well as explore successes\, challenges and lessons learned to drive progress on sepsis-related harm. DESCRIPTION:IPRO and the Opioid Response Network (ORN) have developed an education series for use by nursing home staff educators. Our goal is to provide a resource to nursing homes/medical rehabilitation centers that supports your commitment to ensure all residents/patients receive equitable care. This education series will address the often missed\, yet impactful issues of addiction\, trauma\, stigma\, and chronic pain management. \nThis pre-packaged\, two-month\, 6 module education series includes: \n\n3 live webinars\, with Delores Blackwell\, PhD (before\, during and after the series) for educators to review the education materials supplied and receive support in presenting the content.\nEducational content for all staff in a series of 6 education sessions designed to last 25-30 minutes each. Included for each session:\n\n6 prerecorded modules (15 minutes)\nWritten materials to support discussion led by the educator (10-15 minutes)\n\n\n\nIt is strongly recommended that the series be conducted over 6 consecutive weeks. DESCRIPTION:  \nSepsis remains a national priority and is a complex and challenging condition to manage. Despite substantial attention to improvement\, an opportunity still exists to decrease sepsis-related morbidity and mortality. More than 1.7 million adults in the U.S develop sepsis every year\, leading to over 270\,000 deaths (CDC\, 2020). \nHospitals are committed to improving care\, outcomes\, and costs; however\, many have expressed they wrestle with where and how to start their quality improvement efforts. \nIPRO is launching a 6-month Sepsis Affinity Group to help support and provide a networking forum specifically for mid-to-large sized hospitals as they work to reduce sepsis-related harm. With the shared goal of accelerating learning and improvement\, participants will have access to content experts and a platform to share experiences\, evidence-based practices\, and tools\, as well as explore successes\, challenges and lessons learned to drive progress on sepsis-related harm. Some topics to be included are sepsis screening\, SEP-1 bundle compliance and reporting\, and more. \n  \nOn behalf of the IPRO HQIC team\, we look forward to your joining and working together with the Sepsis Affinity Group!
