SUMMARY:HQIC Community of Practice Call: Partnering with Patients & Families to Prevent All-Cause Harm
DESCRIPTION:Preventing all-cause harm continues to be a national priority. In 2016\, an estimated 2.7 million harm events affecting hospital inpatients occurred\, leading to more than 80\,000 deaths at a cost of nearly $29 billion. SUMMARY:IPRO HQIC Sepsis Affinity Group: Mid-to-large sized Hospitals
DESCRIPTION:  \nSepsis remains a national priority and is a complex and challenging condition to manage. Despite substantial attention to improvement\, an opportunity still exists to decrease sepsis-related morbidity and mortality. With the shared goal of accelerating learning and improvement\, participants will have access to content experts and a platform to share experiences\, evidence-based practices\, and tools\, as well as explore successes\, challenges and lessons learned to drive progress on sepsis-related harm. Some topics to be included are sepsis screening\, SEP-1 bundle compliance and reporting\, and more. \n  \nOn behalf of the IPRO HQIC team\, we look forward to your joining and working together with the Sepsis Affinity Group!
